Talking of long place names, when you visit Sydney you will probably go to Woolloomooloo. And then we have some towns that are so nice, they named them twice such as Wagga Wagga and Woy Woy. Just make sure you don’t end up at Whoop Whoop, which is out beyond the Black Stump. However, being Australians, we can shorten anything if we need to. It is just that when we do, no-one else understands what we say.
