Oh, it’s a long story of lost health, a lost job, a lost home, a lost dog, and a lost soul. (I’m the soul, not the dog, just so you know. ;) ) Short form – I was struck by a non-ending migraine in 1999, which destroyed my health, cost me my job AND home in 2001, and due to lack of money for treatment, my “son” the dog (my wife can’t have kids) in 2002. Net result, we ended up living in a guest room of some friends who lived not far from here, and have been working our way back up since 2004.
Trust me, it might be a long way from Chicago (born and raised there) to Ohio, but it’s a HELL of a lot longer from Ohio to Chicago. :)
