Girl saved from drunken rape at ’10 over 10′ show

A drunk and wasted girl (name withheld) was saved by some people when she was nearly raped at a show of Nigerian rapper Naeto C  (Naetochukwu Chikwe) in Blantyre.

Some boys nearly sexually violating the girl after she was found  sleeping on the ground  so drunk that she could not do anything after binge drinking during the Nigerian singer' show.

The girl was saved by some people who evacuated her to safety.

Naeto C mesmerized Blantyre audience with his popular 10/10 single that at least everyone, who graced the show, was satisfied but he could not excite the audience with his other unfamiliar songs.

The Nigerian hailed Malawians for their support and he promised to be back for more shows in future.

"l am very delighted with his 10/10 hit apart from some of the songs because l do not know them. At least l had a chance to see him live on stage," commented Violet Chingaipe, from Zingwangwa Township.

Royce Chaleka from Sunnyside said even though the Nigerian Hip-hop star performed unfamiliar hits, she was impressed with his 10/10 track.

"Most of the songs he performed were unfamiliar that many people were just watching instead of dancing. I think in Malawi we know only 10/10 and that is why many people were just watching at the start of his performance, "said Chaleka.

However, some people were left unsatisfied because they expected the Nigerian artist to use a band rather than relying on CD's.

Remi Nyoka said that they expected Naeto C to perform using a live band than CD's.

"What is the difference with staying at home listening to his CD? We came here with the expectation that he will perform live. I think l have just worsted my K1, 000," he said.

Mercy Kalunga questioned why Malawian artists like Maskal, Dan Lufani managed to perform live using a band than the visitor.

"Our own Maskal and the Black Missionaries performed better than himself. I think next time our organizers should urge the visitors to perform using live band," she said.

Before Naeto C, some local artist like Maskal, Dan Lufani, and Tay-Grin performed their music with the Black Missionaries wrapping up the show.
