MAFCO back at the summit of TNM Super League

Mafco Fc are back on the summit table of the elite K60 million TNM Super League after their victory on Sunday against Civo United in Lilongwe.

The Salima based soldiers, who have 24 points hammered the civil servants 2-1 in a pulsating encounter at Civo Stadium.

Escom United, who were on top of the table have now moved to the second position after their 0-0 draw against Mighty Wanderers in Balaka.

The Electricians have 23 points.

On third position is Moyale with 22 points after their 4-1 demolition to Cobbe on Saturday.

Silver Strikers, with 4-1 romp to Blue Eagles are now on the fourth position having accumulated 22 points in the first round of the league.

On the fifth place is Civo United with 21 points. The Area 3 side failed to ultilise their home ground advantage having lost to visiting Mafco.

After their 2-1 victory on Saturday against Azam Tigers, Blantyre United are sitting comfortably on sixth place with 21 points.

The Area 30 Cops, Blue Eagles are on position seven with 19 points being chased closely by Mighty Wanderers on eighth position with the same number of points.

Azam Tigers are on nine position with 18 points with the Old capital city giants Red Lions on their back.

Red Lions have 17 points followed by Epac Fc with the same numbers of points.

Having been humiliated by Zomba United 1-0 on Saturday, Big Bullets are a single digit away on the relegation campus on 12 slot.

The Peoples Team have 15 points with Embangweni United chasing them closely on 13 position with 12 points.

Zomba United is occupying 14 position with 12 points while Cobbe Barracks is stuck on the last dot of the log table with 8 points.

Epac Fc danger man Ishmael Thindwa is still the leading top scorer having kissed the back of the net 12 times.
